A lone Mawile was walking through town, leaving a faint trail of water droplets on the street. He shook his head, releasing a light spray that thankfully didn’t land on anyone. He felt quite nice and refreshed after bathing in the river. A bath did wonders for improving one’s mood and appearance after getting into a rough scuffle in the wild. He didn’t even feel concerned about the blood left on the battlefield; who would even care? They were only ferals. He was returning to town in hopes of finding somewhere to relax for the evening. Elysia was luckily a large town with plenty of businesses and shops. He did turn his head to a few restaurants here and there, but his belly was satisfied with a day’s worth of apples. He continued onwards, passing by stalls and chattering crowds of civilians. His eye would sometimes catch the glint from a badge clipped to a familiar-looking explorer bag. Guild members, explorers and hunters alike, were abundant at this time. They were probably heading back to the guild for the day to eat and relax. Vashni looked indifferent; it wasn’t like they could touch him. He had been avoiding any public spectacles. Thievery wasn’t a favored activity of his, nor was kidnapping, so he didn’t go out of his way to do anything involving those. Maiming and killing pokemon, on the other hand, he had been relegating exclusively to pokemon that townspeople didn’t bother with. He made sure the leftovers were buried deep, his scent masked by the strong scents of berries and leaves, or he made it so they were picked clean by other predators. He left no tracks. He pushed that out of his mind; it was turning his expression into a grim one, and he would much rather avoid any further weird looks from pedestrians. Taking in a slow, calming breath, Vashni returned to searching for that evening’s past time. To his pleasant surprise, the town had its own juice bar. He had been to a few in the previous towns, and was thankful to see it was gaining traction. He entered the establishment and was greeted with a nice aroma wafting in the air and the sounds of chatter. There was a decent amount of customers taking up the tables and lounging on the chairs beside the bar, a few even wandering about and happily mingling. There was a rustic yet cozy sort of ambience with the lights, and Vashni didn’t doubt the place was as warm as a winter fireplace during the day, but the night gave it a different energy. Considering how late it was, there was no way a child would be wandering the place. He was standing there long enough, it was time stick out less like a sore thumb. He chose a seat by the bar and thought of what to order. His ear-like extensions twitched as they picked up the voices of the other patrons, requesting drinks made from all types of berries, gummis, seeds, and other consumables. The bar seemed to serve quite an array of mixtures, and he hadn’t a clue what any of the funky names on the menu meant. He chuckled under his breath as his hand scratched his head in puzzlement. “The wonders of a new town,” he mumbled, sighing in defeat. He raised his head and looked around, before leaning over to the pokemon seated beside him. “Sorry to bother you, but do you have any recommendations for a clueless newcomer?” He asked. “It’s been a while since I visited these things. I’d love to have something that’ll relieve some of the day’s stress.” luc | 609 | fjhdgk and thus elysia had a bar | god knows we [attr="class","icon"]like archaic kinds of fun. |
