For as long as she can remember, there's been someone willing to give her whatever her heart desires. In the beginning it was mom and dad, so entranced by her sweet face and good behavior. Later, it was the loyal friends who fell under the sway of her sweet words. When she finally grew up, it was her latest boyfriend or girlfriend. She's a predator dressed up like a pretty princess, rotting and manipulative to her core. She feels uncomfortable when she tells the truth, preferring to hide herself with pretty little lies. She isn't really sure what the real Tiffany is like, though she knows that there's a monster hiding behind those sparkling eyes and that cute smile. She's cheerful to a degree that can be a little grating. Sadness is foreign to her, and anger only surfaces when someone ruins one of her carefully plotted out schemes. She's peppy in a manner that might remind someone of a cheerleader, prancing about all upbeat and uplifting. She might make an effort at cheering up someone who seems down, but only for her own benefit. She personally finds negative emotions entertaining and indulges in cheering up others out of a morbid curiosity and the sense of power it gives her - it entertains her, having so much power over the emotions of others. Her materialistic ways are legendary. Her love of luxury and her fear of boredom are her two biggest motivators, and she can often be seen chasing after the newest trends and the hottest looks. She often dresses herself up in jewelry - anything that sparkles is something to love, in her mind. A quick way to tell she's claimed someone is a sudden influx of gifts, as she tries to force her own fashion sense upon them. She grows possessive over people she likes and treats them like favored pets, treating them with kindness so long as they continue to provide for her. Once they are no longer useful or entertaining, she sees no problem with tossing them aside. Her jealousy is legendary, however, and she may take in a discarded pawn if she sees someone else attempting to lay claim to them. She has a love of getting her hands dirty. If she has the opportunity, she will personally roll her metaphorical sleeves up and lay out a butt woopin'. It isn't that she likes violence - heavens, no, violence is dirty! It's more that she likes to see the fear in the eyes of her enemy. She likes to watch them squirm and suffer. She tends to maintain her cheery disposition even in the midst of a battle, chattering on as always about her plans to make her opponent suffer. It's rather unnerving, really. They were old money, tracing their riches and influence back to the days of yore when pokemon were hardly anymore civilized than those brutes in the dungeons. Alas, those days were long gone by the time Tiffany's egg was laid. A series of bad business deals had drained the family coffers and by the days of Tiffany's mother, they were practically living like paupers! When the time came for her mother to be wed, there was an embarrassingly low amount of suitors. Desperate to bring wealth back to his family and secure a good future for his daughter, Tiffany's grandfather began to deal with the criminals of his city. Unfortunately, he wasn't experienced with such things. He was caught in short order and sent off to prison. It left the family name in ruins. Tiffany's mother was forced to care for her ailing mother after her two elder brothers were also convicted. She married young to a disgraceful man who walked out on his young wife and daughter within a few years. His brother stepped up to be a paternal figure in Tiffany's life. After the death of Tiffany's grandmother, he moved Tiffany and her mother out to Elysia. He worked in the guild there. Tiffany adjusted well to the move. Here, no one knew of her shameful family history. She got good grades. She was popular. She volunteered and was in many clubs. When she graduated, she immediately went to the guild - not many people were surprised, given her uncles influence in her life. Still, she wasn't satisfied. She wasn't getting enough, in her own mind. So when a little sentret offered her a bribe after being caught hiding out in a dungeon, she took it. She had been assisting her uncle, and she happily covered the sentret's escape. Her uncle thought too much of her to question her story of how the sentret had gotten away. After that, the sentret started cutting her in and Tiffany started helping her out more. It gave her a great idea.
