[Forgive the plain appearance, I'll set up a nice BBCode layout for my posts....eventually.]
Alix is both a reclusive and rather inexperienced character. His interests mainly consist of tinkering, studying, and generally being by himself, and he's never really had a friend before, so absolutely any kinds of relationships with others are going to impact him a lot at this point. Once he becomes a little more experienced, he'll be open to more complex types of plot arcs, but for now it's a bit of a chore to even get him outside.
Alix could really use a friend. Someone to get him to go outside. Absolutely anyone stubborn enough to persist in getting him to open up a little will work, and contrasting personalities are always fun. From a different angle, characters with like interests could be fun, too, and will have an easy in for conversation. Alix isn't always easy to befriend, but once he likes you he's hard to shake off.
Alix isn't especially interested in adventure at the moment, but he occasionally makes trips to go hunt for items. He's unlikely to join a team for the time being, but he's very curious, so he might still be willing to go into a Mystery Dungeon - especially if he's accompanied by a friend.
I love roleplaying all kinds of character relationships - close friends, rivalries, frienemies, etc, but romantic ones aren't off the table for me. If you want to date the ghostly sock puppet, you'll definitely have to have an established platonic relationship with him first, though. Romance is the one of the last things on Alix's mind at any given time. Partner gender doesn't matter.
