being quite attached to his 'lone wolf' lifestyle, cerin finds it exceedingly difficult to build trust in anyone other than himself. however, he thrives in what little friendships he manages to build and finds relief in the fact that he can let his guard down around these few pokémon. not that he'll show it too much, of course.
for those he trusts, he grows extremely overprotective over and will risk his tail in a heartbeat to ensure their safety. he's rather narcissistic and proud, and any friend who tries to insult this is a friend short-lived. he enjoys pulling pranks and cracking jokes, even in what may seem to be the most inappropriate of circumstances. though anyone who can endure this will have certainly made a clever, humorous and surprisingly reliable ally.

everyone is an enemy to cynical cerin by default, until they are determined enough to prove themselves worthy of his trust. despite this it is rather difficult to make him completely hate you, as he tends to maintain a cool and nonchalant attitude towards anyone who attempts to irk him.
he will only really despise another pokémon if they attempt to harm him or any of the rare people he cares for, in which case he will tend to forge a perpetual grudge and his inability to forgive and forget will not let it fade too easily. if you manage to make cerin loathe you, you should watch your back. and your possessions.

cerin's orientation is rather hard to pinpoint, considering he will attempt to charm just about anyone for his own benefit or amusement. genuine feelings of attraction are something he has never particularly cared for, as he sees love as a vulnerability made to be exploited.
although, that doesn't necessarily mean he is incapable of it. maybe someday, he'll find someone who catches his eye.
