jester's trust is a fickle thing. her cynicism makes it difficult to build trust in anyone unless she's known them for a long time, or is able to get a definite read on their true nature before then. nonetheless, jester will act pretty jovial to anyone she meets even if it is in her own creepy way, although the cogs are constantly working behind her eyes with every encounter. if she likes you you'll know it; she'll laugh a lot more and she'll make fun of you a lot more, but its all in good nature. if you can put up with that kind of treatment then you'll soon enough have a friend in jester.

she's a bit of an oddball. her humour is dark and her involuntarily menacing demeanour makes it difficult for strangers to decipher her true intentions and more often than not, fends them away, but behind it all is an oddly sensitive banette who cares what you think of her a lot more than you might imagine. she will not take her friends for granted, as she can grow extremely protective over them as she has done with fio. if you're able to endure her for long enough to really come to understand her, you'll find a more dependable companion than you could imagine.

jester is cautious of everyone by default. in stark contrast to her partner fio's philosophy of 'innocent until proven guilty', hers is more along the lines of 'guilty until proven innocent'. give her a reason to dislike you in the slightest and you'll know about it; there'll be a change in her. playful mockery will descend into sardonic comments and cold sneering, and she'd sooner wring you out and leave you to try than let you come within a mile of someone she cares about.

give her a reason to hate you and look out. her temper is fickle and if she sniffs the slightest bit of malice on you she will not hesitate to resort to violence. old habits are hard to shake and as a result her brutality in battle is something that shouldn't be surprising. though when it all comes down to it she tends to think with her heart rather than her head, and if in any instance someone she cares about is endangered that'll be a whole different ball game. don't expect to leave without at least one missing limb.
