phoebe is a bit of an oddball. she's a reclusive introvert who spends more time reading books than socialising with other pokémon. though that said, it isn't too difficult to get her to come out of her shell. although she may come off as rather disinterested or bored when she is spoken to, she will quite often appreciate the company. it isn't too hard to get along with her, although her wariness of pretty much everyone makes it a tad more difficult to properly befriend her.

if you want to be her friend, you'll quite often have to prove yourself. being confident in her own abilities and intelligence, she believes she doesn't need anyone else. one way to pique her interest is through a battle, and if you can beat her or even prove yourself to have potential to be a worthy opponent, she will regard you to be worth her time. another way is if you have similar interests, as phoebe is obsessed with books and flowers... maybe bring her a bouquet since she's too robotic to even view it as a flirtation.

to earn her trust, you'll have to simply spend time with her. being critical of everyone she meets, it won't take too long for her to come to a conclusion about you, be it good or bad. it isn't a waste of time, however, as she can prove to be a clever, diligent and reliable ally.

phoebe is suspicious of everyone by default, so don't take it personally if she comes off as a little blunt. keep in mind she hates bossy pokémon, so don't try and tell her what to do unless you want psychically slam-dunked.

being perceptive and critical, she is usually able to deduce a bad pokémon when she sees one, and you'll unlock a whole new level of cold. she won't bother trying to mask her distaste or any sly comments, although you'd probably have to do kill someone to make her hate you. if she hates you then... yikes.
