Their childhood was characterized by lack of affection and acceptance, leaving them to seek out attention from anyone who can offer it. They are completely incapable of judging the character of others and tend to assume that anyone who offers them a kind word is a good person, easily leading to situations where they are taken advantage of by less morally-inclined individuals. They never seem to hold a grudge over this, instead bouncing back from the brink of despair and yet again offering their trust to those who have betrayed them. Nico does not like social conflict. While they enjoy brawling, they often flinch away from raised voices and offer hasty apologies for any percieved slight. Naturally relaxed and amiable, they seek to smooth over any potentially hurt feelings and avoid all forms of discord. They are quick to agree with any opinion someone they like may have, only to change their mind when another is offered to them. Despite their nature as a doormat, they can be a rewarding friend. They go out of their way to be pleasant and kind, worrying for their friends and going out of their way to make sure they have a good day. They love to help people and can often be seen doing errands for people. They are easily excited by the most mundane of things. A pretty flower is often cause for delight and must be shown to all of their friends. Unfortunately, they tend to wander off in search of pretty things over the course of a day. It isn't uncommon for Nico to become totally lost! This doesn't bother them, though. Honestly, not many things bother them! Nico is totally relaxed and tends to enjoy life as it comes. [attr="class","titeidol"]history Nico was born into wealth. Their mother, a Goodra, had built upon the small fortune that her father had left her and became quite infamous for her shrewd business pratices and her ruthless way of dealing with competition. Their father a Kommo-o, was also her bodyguard. They had little interest in their only child and were often out of town on business, thus leaving Nico's care to a constantly changing staff of nannies. Unfortunately for the lonely goomy, very few of the other children in the small village where they had grown up were interested in befriending them. They were considered 'weird' by the other kids, who often resented that they had to play with the goomy. Those that did befriend them often did so after being encouraged by ambitious parents. The gullible goomy often didn't notice that their friendships were fake and instead showered these fake friends with gifts. It wasn't until they met a newcomer to the village that things changed. Callum the Mienfoo wasn't impressed by their wealth. He also wasn't impressed by their friends. Still, the two somehow became close friends and Callum was quick to put an end to the leeches that took advantage of his best friend.
