Sweet dreams are made ofthis who am i to disagree? Faster... Faster... Faster...Only a single word pulsed in his mind as orange paws carried him farther and farther across the plains. His claws had been stained green and brown from the dirt and grass that initially had flown in clumps with his movements. The longer he ran, the faster he became, the lighter his pawsteps. Soon enough, he was soaring over the hills. His fur swept back with the wind and force, creating an orange blur against the brightening sky. Soon enough, the breaking dawn would let the sun rise high in the sky. Soon enough, he would be unable to move around as freely. That was fine, he presumed. He was fine with biding his time until he could take Elysia by storm and no longer have to deal with hiding in the shadows or acting like a good dog in front of those annoying hunters. His lips drew back at the thought, baring sharp white teeth as a low growl began to rumble deep within his throat. In his temporary distraction, his speed picked up too quickly, his paw misstepped, and the Growlithe suddenly found gravity pulling him down a hill. Down, down he went, tumbling past the threshold he had been running along and straight into the dungeon. This had not been on his plan for the morning, but he would soon find this inconvenience to be worth his while. [googlefont="Cormorant+Garamond|Open+Sans+Condensed:300"]

"I always make such expensive mistakes." ‘Elysia is nice,’ thought Vashni as he passed the trees, which rustled quietly as if to wave their fresh green leaves at him, slightly tinted by the morning glow. It wasn’t a spectacularly unique town, but it had enough sights to see, and a good community of unique pokemon to meet. There was, unfortunately, a guild, but nowadays every town had one. On the bright side, the guild wouldn’t be an issue so long as his old names didn’t pop up. He was wandering the town’s outskirts this morning. He’d found a quaint place to stay with a local vendor last night after chatting them up and procuring his sob story. Well, it was a sob story, even if he had to massage a few details. Nonetheless, he didn’t want to deal with the vendor’s rather suffocating personality at breakfast and so decided to rise early. The sunrise was the best time to take long walks, anyways. He inhaled deeply the cool air and looked around, trying to measure his distance. He had first taken a route near the Tricklestone Park, spending a good time following the river. He’d passed by a few hills, rounding them in a snake-like path rather than climbing, and would soon find himself beyond, into the valley if he kept pursuing forwards. A little ways off from his straight path, however, was an expansive lush area teeming with flowers he hadn’t seen near the town. “How peculiar,” he hummed, already moving deeper in, his curiosity piqued. If past experiences told him anything, this would surely be a dungeon. It was cute how it peppered itself in the flowers and glittering pollen, as though setting an alluring trap to oblivious travellers. He could do with playing one right now. He had barely entered the dungeon when an orange blur came tumbling past him, freezing him in his tracks. He watched it whirl onto the flat ground, eventually unfolding to reveal a fluffy creature. Primarily orange, coated in stripes, and with light cream-colored fur. “A Growlithe?” He mused, wondering if this fella was one of the locals. A guild member or a particularly clumsy civilian? Chuckling, he approached the stranger. He bent over the fallen pokemon, his hands crossed behind his back. “That was quite an entrance,” he said, smiling languidly, his eyes half-lidded as though he were more on the verge of sleeping rather than concerned. He sort of was. “What brings you all the way out here, stranger?” FJzJ9V4r1-100 MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRPHY 2.0 1-100

Sweet dreams are made ofthis who am i to disagree? His eyes remained shut for a moment as he waited for the world to stop spinning around him. The world had not stilled for even a second before a voice called out to him, commenting on his accident. Just the knowledge he was no longer alone was enough to sour his mood more than his tumble had. Curling his lips back to display sharp teeth, a growl began to form as the Growlithe snapped his eyes open. " Shut up," icy eyes narrowed at the Pokemon before him. Over him. Flames crackled in the back of his throat, threatening to spill pas his lips, but he refrained from attacking despite the intense desire to do so. Instead, he lifted himself to his paws without checking to see just how close the Mawile was. His attention was already elsewhere, and his paws carried him away from the stranger. His nose pointed up, sniffing at the air before he leaned down to smell the grass. The Growlithe paused to glance back at the fairy. " Doesn't matter. Guess we're stuck together, so follow my lead and don't get in my way unless you want to become barbecue." With a huff, he turned around and started forward, following his nose toward an easy flight of stairs and to the next area. [googlefont="Cormorant+Garamond|Open+Sans+Condensed:300"]

"I always make such expensive mistakes." Vashni stood patiently as the Growlithe recuperated. At this proximity, he took the time to examine him up close. There was little peculiar about the pokemon’s appearance—his color, his markings—but there was a subtlety that spoke of power. The patches that seemed a little too short, as though struggling to grow over aged battle scars. The Growlithe lacked a softness he would expect from an amateur. Then he was met with teeth, sharp and daunting, and red eyes were met with pale blues. Vashni’s eyes widened by a fraction; he hadn’t anticipated such a look from the stranger, whose first greeting also consisted of throwing his own back at his face. The edge of the Mawile’s mouth hitched upwards ever so slightly higher. This one had an attitude. And judging from the heat emanating from the Growlithe, it seemed the bark was likely not without a bite, but Vashni had yet to confirm. The smiling Mawile straightened just as the Growlithe rose, his hands still poised behind his back as though he hadn’t a worry in the world, even at the presence of a pokemon who seemed itching to barbeque him alive. The idea of a pokemon barbeque had the jaws hanging behind him gnash their teeth in anticipation, but he perished the thought. For all the dastardly things he’d done, Vashni was never turning to cannibalism. He’d chew, but never swallow, like a proper gentleman. At the Growlithe’s movements, Vashni looked about lazily. His eyes stuck to the flowers rather than the grass, and he was quick to return them to the stranger upon being addressed. “It appears we are,” he nodded. At the instruction, he briefly snickered, the bottom corners of his eyes crinkling as he gestured politely with a sweep of his arm. “You need not to worry about that. Please, lead the way.” He followed the Growlithe, keeping a calm pace behind the determined pokemon. As they went through the path and up the stairs, Vashni felt quite pleased to have found something interesting that day. 2IJJMH831-100Azar , 𝓈𝒾𝓁𝓋𝒶𝓁𝒾 - 342 - dhgfd hopefully nothing too high since we need interactions lmao MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRPHY 2.0 1-100

Sweet dreams are made ofthis who am i to disagree? There was a pull in the back of his mind that urged him to take off and leave this Mawile behind. Another Pokemon would just be a hinderance, and he knew he was more than capable of handling himself. However, he knew better than to abandon a Pokemon who had already so willingly allowed his lead. Perhaps this stranger was simply the follower type. Perhaps he knew not to take risks with an angry mutt who was so eager to spit flames. This stranger could be useful, but he would have to keep an eye on him throughout this little accidental adventure through a dungeon. A small dungeon, at that. He doubted he would get to see much worth. Confident strides carried him forward as pale blue eyes darted around every so often before focusing ahead once more. The Growlithe stopped, perking his ears as his eyes snapped toward a Rhyhorn as its roar echoed out. Not a moment was taken to access the creature before Azar lowered his head. He slowly stalked forward, taking only a few steps before he paused and briefly glanced back at the Mawile. Any signals probably would not work on a stranger. Ah, well, too bad. His scruffy tail flicked before a metallic glow engulfed it, and, like that, Azar was charging toward the Rhyhorn. He ducked to the side as he near, whipping around as he aimed his glowing tail at the Pokemon's flank. AZAR USED IRON TAIL![googlefont="Cormorant+Garamond|Open+Sans+Condensed:300"]

"I always make such expensive mistakes." His arms swung lazily at either side of him as he followed the Growlithe. Behind him, his jaws remained obediently shut in its massive, perpetual frown, contrast to the little smirk plastered on his face. He felt like he was watching a restless child; the type of youth that always demanded to be the winner of every game, every situation. Each stride the stranger took, he mirrored with a slow step of his own, always keeping a fair pace behind. It probably wasn’t wise to let one’s guard down in a dungeon, even in one as quaint as this one, but it was hard not to relax when accompanied by a pokemon that was so restless. He wondered if the Growlithe ever took the time to simply stroll and enjoy the scenery. Oh, he stopped. Vashni followed suit, halting as a third party that had been calmly grazing the field noticed them. The Rhyhorn released a roar, clearly agitated at their presence. They must have entered its territory. Vashni’s attention quickly turned to the Growlithe, who had already begun moving forward. Of course the stranger was going to attack. He observed until he received the glance—was he going to say something? No, it was only a look. Growlithe were pack pokemon, so whatever he had done was likely a nonverbal signal. Follow? Attack? The Growlithe charged forward. A little irritated at the vague order, Vashni followed behind, beginning to charge up an attack. When the Growlithe dove sideward to slam its iron-clad tail onto the Rhyhorn’s flank, Vashni’s body donned a similar glow. He turned to the opposite side; passing the Rhyhorn’s head and ramming himself head-first at a crack in the wild pokemon’s layer of natural armor, above the ribs and near the joint of its foreleg. Sweet dreams are made ofthis who am i to disagree? A flicker of a grin twitched against his lips as his glowing tail slammed against the large rock Pokemon, causing it to stumble. Digging his claws into the grass, he slowed himself down and took a few quick strides away from the Rhyhorn. There was no doubt in his mind that the Rhyhorn would not be able to sustain another hit. That might have just been his own arrogance speaking, such confidence in his own skills. It made him stand tall with only the slightest slope downward of his nose as his glaring gaze remained focused on the wild Pokemon a moment longer, a growl rumbling in his throat as he dared for the Pokemon to make a move. His attention shifted as he caught movement out of the corner of his eye, and Azar could not help but watch as the Mawile rushed in quite literally head-first into the battle. A glimmer of approval raise to his eyes for the briefest moment as he watched the Rhyhorn collapse from the impact, but the look was quickly wiped off and hardened before it could be noticed. The Growlithe slipped up to the fallen rock beast and hopped onto its back, peering over the other side at the Mawile. " You gotta name, fairy?" His voice rasped as his head tilted slightly with question. He withheld any compliment that might have followed or preceded the question, dismissing his earlier approval. Obviously the Rhyhorn had been weakened before the Mawile swooped in to secure its defeat. The Growlithe turned, shaking off his striped pelt before he leaped off the fallen Rhyhorn. " You can call me Azar. For now." The cream of his bushy tail raised as his paws once more carried him forward. With a taste of a battle so early in the morning, he was restless to seek out another opponent. [googlefont="Cormorant+Garamond|Open+Sans+Condensed:300"]

"I always make such expensive mistakes." He felt his head smash against the rock-hard fortified shell, the glow bursting upon impact. The force threw his body off the shell, but he received no recoil. Although Mawile looked small and weak compared to other steel types, their bodies were still just as durable. He landed back on the ground on his feet, shrugging his shoulders a bit. He rolled his left arm and craned his neck, feeling a satisfying pop here and there. He must have been rustier than he thought. But not weak. He raised his head, watching with lidded, indifferent eyes as the massive pokemon groaned from its injuries. Its body, too, groaned as it succumbed to defeat, falling onto the ground with a loud thud. His mouth pressed into a brief, dissatisfied frown – that was barely even a challenge. It went down without fighting. He had hoped to see more of the stranger in action, but it seemed now was not the opportunity. Speaking of which, it seemed the fella had taken up an impromptu pedestal. Vashni raised his head to look at him, an action that greatly amused him considering this stranger was a mere pup, not an Arcanine. Not a king, and not someone who had even proven themselves stronger than he was. And yet, staring upward, Vashni could see just a hint of the morning glow behind him; a little something that tugged at his chest, telling him that sooner or later, this cub would be worthy of a bow. Perhaps it was the voice and how naturally it seemed to fit the role of a commander. He crossed his arms and allowed the feeling to tug his mouth into a smile. “Fairy is a cute nickname. ‘Vashni’ is cuter, however.” He watched the stranger turn from his pedestal and land, ending the needless display, and provide him with a name. “Azar? How fitting.” He chuckled, head turning to follow the Growlithe’s movements. He hadn’t a clue what it meant, but did it matter? It sounded strong, something given, rather than taken. Azar continued their way, and Vashni was more than happy to follow. He hummed, thinking a little as they walked. “By ‘for now’ it appears you’re hinting at a better name in the future. I wonder what that will be.” Considering the aloof treatment he’d been getting thus far, he doubted Azar would reply, but it didn’t really matter to him. Pokemon lied all the time; the most reliable way to learn about someone was to observe. YfhBVTTe1-100MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRPHY 2.0 1-100

Sweet dreams are made ofthis who am i to disagree? Someone like him as probably the worst judge of whether something was cute or not. It was something he never once considered, seeking for strength over anything else. If he was ever going to consider spending even an ounce of brain power deciding -- and he could not believe he was actually doing so right now -- then he supposed 'Vashni' could, to some degree, be considered a cute name. Perhaps shortened it might-- no, no, no!There was a brief pause in the Growlithe's paw steps once he caught himself spending way too much time thinking on something so stupid. Shaking his head, his ears flicked with annoyance before he continued forward once more. " 'Fairy' it is, then," he grumbled to himself, hoping that would be the last such annoying thoughts dared to infiltrate his mind. He needed to be alert and focused, and he could not allow his attention to be clouded by something so small yet so time consuming. Black nostrils flared as he lowered his nose to the ground, sniffing at the blades of grass and every rock they passed. One never knew when they could so easily overlook the obvious hidden in plain sight, and he was intent on reaping whatever benefits this dungeon withheld from him. Azar took a moment before his steps slowed once more, and his head lifted to turn over his shoulder. Blue eyes focused on the Mawile, consideration flashing across his features for a mere moment. " Your Highness, of course." An arrogant smirk curled on his lips, his tail twitching as he turned his head forward once more. " Or any title like it." The smirk remained as cream paws carried him forward once more, his strides longer and slower. Blue eyes focused ahead, leering at nothing in particular. " Either Elysia will one day bow before me upon a throne of gold, or I shall watch it burn to the ground." His low voice rumbled as embers formed deep within his throat, escaping past his lips with a soft chuckle. He had no reason to tell Vashni any of this, yet he did so with confidence. There was no point in hiding his plans. If this Mawile proved to be a goody two-shoes who would run to the nearest law enforcement after they escaped this dungeon, then he could deal with the problem while they were still stuck together. However, on the small chance that he would not... Well, there were plenty of possibilities to explore in time. [googlefont="Cormorant+Garamond|Open+Sans+Condensed:300"]

"I always make such expensive mistakes." As expected, there was no immediate reply. The walk was turning out to be rather peaceful as well, so Vashni took a few extra steps forward. He was still following the Growlithe, but this distance made it easier to catch on subtle cues. He raised a brow upon noticing the slight breaks in Azar’s concentration. The intense focus in his eyes seemed to trail off – was it from his earlier comment? – Until his steps lost their rhythm. Vashni couldn’t help but lightly chuckle as Azar shook his head and grumbled under his breath. “Call me whatever you want,” he shrugged, still smiling. “It’s not worth letting your mind wander over.” The Mawile found himself greeted once more by those blue pupils. How peculiar they were; Growlithe didn’t usually have such colorful pupils. He briefly wondered about Azar’s parents and whether the color came from a mutation, or just a different species mixing with an Arcanine. That train of thought cut as Azar decided to answer his question, boldly proclaiming a title for himself and in those few sentences, cementing the presumptions Vashni was collecting. He was truly, undeniably, a spoiled, arrogant brat who was too big for his ambitions. The jaws that had been stagnant for the majority of this encounter moved, now mirroring the grin on Vashni’s face, his eyes lit with expectation and intrigue. There was nothing like finding a diamond in the rough, and this diamond had some interesting ideas for the future. “Elysia?” He tapped a finger on his chin, his eyes drifting from Azar to briefly glance at the path they had come from. “That’s quite a modest scope, but I believe it’s a start, your highness.” He had never referred to anyone with that title, but it flowed from his tongue fairly well; his voice, light and gentle with a hint of amusement, made it sound almost like he was one of those old servants hired by nobles. It was funny, and he rather enjoyed it, especially when used for this particular pokemon. Perhaps in the future, the title itself would fit better, and it wouldn’t be so funny anymore. Now that would be something. He mirrored Azar’s steps, still maintaining his respectful distance. He clasped his hands behind his back as he resumed speaking, ditching his earlier plan of observation. Now that he’d been fed with conversation, he didn’t quite have the patience for simply watching anymore. “Modest or not, Elysia is still a considerably-sized community. You do have a plan, don’t you?” _NOuF2Ki1-100MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOXOGRPHY 2.0 1-100
